The NLIT Summit (National Laboratories Information Technology Summit) is a critical annual conference designed exclusively for IT and Cybersecurity professionals operating within the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) complex, including its National Laboratories and affiliated facilities. The summit's core mission is to facilitate the exchange of best practices, strategies, and innovative ideas to strengthen the IT infrastructure, identify operational efficiencies, and ensure robust cybersecurity across the national laboratory system. Through presentations, collaborative Community of Interest Network (COIN) sessions, and technology demonstrations, attendees discuss a wide range of topics—such as Cloud Computing, High-Performance Computing (HPC), Data Analytics, and IT governance—all focused on supporting the vital scientific research and national security missions of the DOE. 

 

WHO ATTENDS

 The overwhelming majority of attendees are personnel in IT and Cybersecurity roles working at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratories and Plants, as well as Federal Government employees from agencies associated with those laboratories. These attendees represent a variety of leadership and technical positions, including Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), Enterprise Architects, Cybersecurity Engineers, and IT Infrastructure Managers. The summit also welcomes Industry Partners (vendors and exhibitors) who provide specialized technology solutions and services to the DOE community.
